1. What do I have to do to study in Japan?
– You have to complete N5 level of language study and at least 12th Grade graduation to proceed your further study in Japan.


2. What is the duration of Japanese language class in Nepal?
– You can complete your Japanese language (N5 Level) within 2-3 months of regular study in your desired Japanese Language School.


3. Can I choose my desire city or location to study in Japan?
– Of course, you can choose your desire location and colleges in Japan to continue further study in one of the reputed colleges of your choice in Japan.


4. My parents have agriculture as source of income, is it regarded as a genuine income in Japan?
– Yes, agriculture income is also accepted. However, you need to have a genuine agricultural income and must be approved by your Ward Chairperson.


5. I have around 23-25 lakhs in my parents account, is it enough to study in Japan?
– Yes, it is sufficient.


6. How old my bank account should be?
– You need to have minimum 1 year bank account. However, some colleges requires 3 years old bank account.


7. Does Japan accept Co-operative Finance bank balance?
– Yes, Japanese government accepts Co-operative finance bank account too. However, your bank account must be genuine.


8. Can I study in Japan with my dependent?
– No, you cannot study in Japan with your spouse. However, you can sponsor your spouse if your student visa has converted into working visa. (If, you have SSW (i) then you need to convert SSW (ii) then, you can invite your spouse after 2 years and if you are holding high class visa (Bachelor visa or Gijinkoku visa) then you can invite your dependent after 3 months in Japan.


9. What is the total cost to study in Japan?
– The total cost to study in Japan is approximately 10-12 lakhs excluding your miscellaneous cost.


10. Can I have part time working opportunity while studying in Japan?
– Yes, you can work up to 28 hours per week.


11. How can my parents be able to cover my tuition fees while studying in Japan?
– Your parents will send your tuition fees in your Japanese bank account.


12. What is the maximum time duration to receive my COE (Confirmation of Eligibility)?
– It takes around 2-2.5 months to receive your COE after successfully applied to the Japanese immigration.


13. Can I re-apply in Japan if I face rejection?
– Yes, you can re-apply but if immigration officer rejects in bank statement then you cannot re-apply Japan however, you can apply in working visa.


14. Can I have Permanent residency (PR) in Japan?
– Generally, Japanese government have their own rules and regulation for PR.


15. What is the duration of my language course in Japan ?
– Duration of language course differs according to the intake you wish to study in Japan. If you apply for April Intake, its 2 years, for July intake its 1 year and 9 months, for October intake, its 1 year and 6 month and for January intake, its 1 year and 3 months only.


16. How many intakes are there to study in Japan?
– There are 4 intakes. They are April, July and October, January.


17. I have completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Nepal is it possible to study in Japan in English medium in university?

– Yes, you can study in English medium in Japan. However, it is not recommended to anyone to travel Japan in student visa without language. Basically, students need to know about Geography, location, climate and culture before continuing their abroad journey.


18. What is the minimum hourly wages earned by the international student in Japan?

– You can earn around 900-1100 YEN per hour in Japan according to the cities in Japan.


19. Is Japan a safe country for international student?
– Yes, Japan is well renowned and one of the safest destinations to continue for further education.


20. After completion of study, can I have Post Study Work (PSW)?

– Yes, you will get 2 years of PSW. Moreover, you can convert your visa status either in SSW Visa or Gijinkoku Visa according to your qualification.


21. Does my education gap impacts my visa decision?

– It is better if no gap is there, but you can apply even if 5-6 years of gap depending on Japanese Language school in Japan. You need to have gap clarification letter as well for your visa decision.


22. I have low GPA can I apply Japan?
– Yes, you can but If you have higher level of Japanese capacity, you can get admission.


23. Can I study in Japan with IELTS?
– IELTS is not mandatory. But having proficiency in Japanese language is compulsory for all candidates.


24. How much money should I have before travelling to Japan as my pocket money?
– You need to have around 1-2 lakhs as your pocket money while traveling for first time in student visa.


25. Can I live with my relative in Japan in student visa?
– Yes, you can but it is mandatory for all the students to live in school dormitory for the first six months.
