Intakes vary according to the institution you are going to take admission. Right now, I am going to share information if you are going to Japan through the Japanese Language School first, and then after graduation from the Japanese language school, you need to join for further studies.
Japan Language school in Japan offers four main intakes for international students, each providing distinct pathways to higher education:
- April Intake: This intake requires students to complete a 2-year Japanese language course before furthering their studies. Visa applications are processed in August – October, with results in February. Students begin their journey in Japan in the first week of April.
- July Intake: Students in the July intake undertake a 1-year and 7-month Japanese language course. Officials process visa applications in December- February, with results announced in May. Students head to Japan in the first week of July.
- October Intake: For this intake, students engage in a 1-year and 6-month Japanese language course before advancing to higher education. Officials process visa applications in March and April, with results announced in August. Students start their studies in Japan in the first week of October.
- January Intake: Students in this intake study a 1-year and 3-month Japanese language course before joining a vocational college or university. Visa applications are processed in July and August, with results announced in September. Students arrive in Japan in the first week of January.
