N5 COURSE FAQs
- Who can join the N5 Level?
N5 is suitable for complete beginners or those starting Japanese for the first time.
- What will I learn in N5?
You will learn basic grammar, vocabulary, hiragana, katakana, simple kanji, and daily communication.
- How long does N5 take?
Typically 3 months with 2 hours per day, 6 days a week.
- What book is used for N5?
We use Minna No Nihongo (I) and Shine’s own practice materials.
- What is the course fee for N5?
The N5 course fee is NPR 15,000 (including materials) for SSW Candidates but those who are willing to apply for Study Visa, its FREE and Tuition Fees are not applicable.
N4 COURSE FAQs
- Who can join N4 Level?
Students who have completed N5 or have basic Japanese knowledge.
- What will I learn in N4?
Upper basic level Japanese grammar, daily conversation, 300–400 kanji, reading comprehension, and listening skills.
- How long does N4 take?
Around 3 months (2 hours per day, 6 days per week).
- What book is used for N4?
We use Minna No Nihongo Book 2, and Irodori Elementary I & II, Shine’s worksheets, and JLPT-style question sets.
- What is the N4 course fee?
The N4 course fee is NPR 25,000 including course book and other worksheets.
N3 COURSE FAQs- Who can join the N3 Level?
Students who have completed N4 or JFT Basic.
- What will I learn in N3?
N3 focuses on intermediate Japanese grammar, 650+ kanji, workplace expressions, reading passages, and advanced listening.
- What book is used in N3?
We use Soumatome N3 Series and JLPT practice model sets.
- How long does N3 take?
Approximately 3 to 3.5 months with 2 hours daily.
- What is the N3 course fee?
The N3 course fee is NPR 30,000 with installment options.
JFT BASIC PREPARATION COURSE – FAQs
- What is the JFT Basic exam?
JFT Basic (Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese) checks basic communication skills required for SSW (Specified Skilled Worker) Visa in Japan.
- Who can join the JFT Basic preparation course?
Anyone who has completed:
- N4 Level, or
- Irodori A2, or
- 35+ Minna No Nihongo lessons, and
- Knows at least 300 kanji
- What will I learn in the JFT Basic course?
The course covers JFT exam skills:
- Script & Vocabulary
- Conversation & Expression

- How long does JFT preparation take?
The JFT course takes 1.5 months, 2 hours per day, 6 days a week.
