Japan sees surge in foreign nursing care employees including Nepal to fulfill the labor shortage in Healthcare sector

Visa Type :- Specified Skill - I

Japan is seeking foreign employee including Nepalese to work nursing care. Under the new visa status under specified skilled skill  Japan also accepting the Nepalese employees for 13 other field (such like construction, agriculture, fisheries, hotel & restaurant) except the Nursing care, whereas, from the Nursing care maximum employees shall be demanded.

Nursing caring job is primarily to being responsible to safety of elderly people at nursing homes. Besides, employees also shall be responsible to providing assisting to bathing, bowl movements during the mealtimes etc.

Who can apply ?

Those candidate who has following abilities;

  • Minimum Age :- 17 completed
  • Gender :- Both
  • Minimum 12th Grade Pass (This is requirement of SHINE)
  • Language level with JLPT N4 or above (Must be capable to demonstrate the daily conversational ability with Japanese customs and practices)
  • Skilled test pass with command of caregiver terminology
  • Age up to 40 ( This is requirement of SHINE)

General Working information:-

  • Location :- Within Japan
  • Working hour :- 9:00 AM to 18:00 PM (Including 1 Hr lunch Break)
  • Holiday :- Saturday/ Sunday and other National Holidays
  • Total Holidays :- 123-130 Days per year
  • Allowance :- varies as per organization
  • Overtime :- Separately pays according to Japanese labor laws
  • Welfare :- As per recruiting organization; Generally governmental social insurance program/ In house training / External training / Study and research supports etc.
  • Remuneration:- Typically 160000-170000 YEN/Month
  • Pay- Raise :- Increases at the time of promotion
  • Bonus :- available

Required Qualifications and Required documents:-

You may applicable to apply in Japan as nursing care job if you have following documents.

  • Academic degree up to 12th grade
  • Language certification up to the level of JLPT N4 & above.
  • Certification skill test
  • Latest updated CV/Resume with the photograph
  • Photographs

Other Information under this visa category:-

  • Period of Stay :- 5 Years
  • Extendable :- Only if you can Certified Care Worker National Qualification (介護福祉士国家試験）the five years
  • then you can live for long term.
  • Required Language Level :- JFT-Basic（国際交流基金日本語基礎テスト）(JFT Basic A2)
  • which is equivalent to JLPT N4.
  • Need to pass the related exam of the filed caregiver （介護日本語評価試験）.
  • You also have to pass the skill test related to the caregiver （介護技能評価試験）.
  • Type of Exam :- CBT (Computer Based testing) from the decided examination centre.
